Mistake #1:  Dieting To Lose Weight

Have you ever gone on a very low-calorie diet? The kind of diet where food selection is very limited and you are practically starving yourself?

Even if you were not following a particular diet, maybe you still focused on eating less and restricting calories in one way or another. For example, you tried not to eat after 6pm.

There are two HUGE problems with this.

The first problem is that even though you lose a lot of weight when you go on a diet, the weight lost isn't just fat, you are also losing a lot of lean muscle.

At the end of the diet you weigh less, but you are still flabby. Sometimes flabbier than when you started.

As you do the diet you lose muscle and as a result you slow down your metabolism. With every pound lost, your metabolism slows down more and more until eventually it crashes, and you can't lose anymore weight.

That's why diets stop working.

Even if you're lucky and you've lost a lot of weight, there is still a problem. When you eventually get off the diet – and you will get off – you gain back all the weight you lost in the form of FAT!

In the end, you lose muscle and gained fat, and you look fatter and flabbier than you did before the diet.

And usually you'll end up gaining more weight than you lost to begin with.

Mistake #2: Focusing On Cardio

I spend a lot of time in a health club and I see women, running on treadmills, bikes, elliptical machines, etc.

And if they're not doing it at the gym, they're doing it at home or in the park.

Unfortunately, they look exactly the same month after month after month… Sooner or later they just give up.

If this describes YOU, don't worry, you don't have to make this mistake anymore.

I couldn't understand it at first, but after doing a lot of research and study I started to see some clues that cardio is the LEAST important form of exercise for getting a sexy shapely body.

How can that be?

All cardio does is burn calories while you do it. Even if you exercised for an hour every day, you'd still spend most of your time NOT exercising.

A better approach is to focus on activities that not only burn calories during the workout, but also cause you to burn calories for hours and days AFTER you workout.

Cardio, Yoga, And Pilates

In 1968 Dr. Kenneth Cooper had published his book "Aerobics" and everyone has been focused on using aerobics for fat loss ever since.

When I was first starting out I also focused on aerobics because that's what everyone else was doing.

But I found out very quickly that it simply didn't work!

When I say aerobics, I mean any kind of aerobic activity. This includes jogging outside or on the treadmill, using the stationary bike, the elliptical and other cardio machines.

It also includes Yoga and Pilates.

It made no sense. How could running for 45 minutes NOT work? But my clients weren't getting results, so clearly it wasn't working.

After studying medical research, attending seminars, and picking the brains of top fat loss experts in the world, I found the answer.

The problem is that Aerobics only burns calories while you do it.

Even if you exercise 5 hours per week, that still leaves 163 hours per week that you DON'T exercise and DON'T burn calories.

The KEY is to do workouts that burn calories while you do them and more importantly burn calories AFTER you do them.

Another problem with cardio is it doesn't help you tone.

Even if you lose weight, you don't get that firm, toned, defined body. You get a "skinny and saggy" body and you're left with loose skin.

With this new understanding I created an exercise system that burns calories during the workouts, and causes you to burn calories for DAYS AFTER the workouts.

I call this system "Target Toning"  because it tones all the important areas: stomach, butt, arms, legs and thighs.

Through my research I found that with just a little tweak to regular cardio training, you can improve results by 900%!

This number is from a study that was published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology on January 2, 2007, but it was done much earlier.

Interval training - when done correctly - can help you get a bikini-body FAST.

All the details of EXACTLY how you can use this method to burn fat fast are in my book.

It's much more FUN than traditional, mind-numbing cardio. And it only takes half the time to do it.

Believe it or not, this is the less powerful part of my Target Toning exercise system.

There is a form of exercise that burns even more fat and tones your body even faster than interval cardio. You only need to do it 3 times a week and the workouts can be as short as 7 minutes.

When women come to me for help, this is the first thing I teach them and it results in INSTANT changes in their body.

As I was studying the top fitness professionals, I noticed that there was one thing they all did with their clients. They had women doing resistance training.

Before you dismiss this, let me tell you that I saw these 'dumbbell-lifting' women with my own eyes and they had the sexiest, most-feminine figures you can imagine.

Later I found studies show that  resistance training elevates your metabolism for up to 38 hours after you do it! That means if you work out at 6PM, you are literally burning calories and losing fat while you sleep for the next two nights!

After taking a few years to experiment with resistance training and adopt it for women, I believe I've found the most effective system for getting a toned, curvy, and feminine physique.

At this point it was only natural to ask myself: What would happen if we elevated metabolism through resistance training and then did some interval cardio on top of an already elevated metabolism?

When we started doing this with my clients, we noticed that not only did the fat come off  MUCH faster, but it was also much easier to keep it off. Another thing we found, was that it took much less TIME to get much better results.

I experimented for a long time until I found the best way to combine these two forms of exercise for quickest possible results, but it all came together nicely.

The last problem was that after doing these workouts for a few weeks, we'd stop seeing results. It was because your body adapts to workouts quickly and you can no longer make progress after a few weeks.

Unless you change the workouts...

If you don't want to hit a plateau and want to keep losing fat, you have to change your workouts often. I've found that changing workouts every 4 weeks works best for women.

Foods All Day And Lose Fat

My book would not be complete if I did not provide you with the most effective, cutting-edge nutrition strategies for toning you body and losing fat.

In order to lose fat you must eat fewer calories than you burn. So most nutritionists and 'fat loss experts' focus on limiting calories. They force you to weigh and measure EVERYTHING you eat.
