One of the biggest reasons women don’t succeed in losing weight is that they don’t know how weight loss works.
Without this understnading you’ll be confused and it’ll feel like you’re banging your head agains a wall. But if you undertsna how loss works you’ll be able to do the right things that lead to weight loss.
Here are the basics of how weight loss works.
The fundamental principle of weight loss is that you must create a caloric deficit. In other words you have to eat fewer calories from food than you burn through your resting metabolism and exercise.
Simple right?
Now that you understand the theory how weight loss works, let’s move on to practice.
The most effective way to create a caloric deficit is through a combination of diet and exercise.
The best diet advice I can give you is eat as much unprocessed food as possible and limit processed food. When you do that you will automatically consume fewer calories which is important if you understand how weight loss works.
For exercise I recommend you stay away from from traditional cardio. Simply put it doesn’t burn enough calories.
Coaches who really understand how weight loss works (including myself) recommend two types of exercise:
1. Interval Cardio
This is a modification of traditional cardio where you basically alternate between hard and easy intervals that results in 9 times the weight loss.
2. Metabolic Resistance Training
This is the “secret weapon” of coaches who truly understand how weight loss works. You can perform one 30 minute workout and burn calories for 2 days after because this type of exercise elevates you metabolism.
After years of training myself and my female fitness clients, this is as simple as I can explain how weight loss works.
